RoadSoft 6.9.5 Update


Description

The RoadSoft 6.9.5 update is now available.  If you already have RoadSoft 6.9 or newer, you can download the update below or via Tools/Check for Updates in RoadSoft

This update includes:

  • Migration to Framework version 8
  • Enhanced Network Builder
  • Enhanced Reporting
  • Updated Crash Data (thru 2008)

This update is for users with RoadSoft version 6.9 or newer.

This update is compatible with LDC version 6.9 or later.  The LDC update is available here

Please Note, if you are running version 6.8 or earlier, this update is only available on CD.  Users running RoadSoft versions 6.8 or earlier will need to request a CD containing Basemap Framework data for migration.  The CD also includes updated Bridge, Crash, and Basemap data.

To request a RoadSoft CD including this update, send an e-mail to roadsoft@mtu.edu.  If your agency has never used RoadSoft, you must fax a request on your agency letterhead to 906-487-3409.


 

For users already running version 6.9 or later, an update is available below.

The 6.9.5 update includes:

  • Fixed bug in Export (Report/CSV Data Type) when choosing a custom jurisdiction.
  • Fixed bug in TAMC PASER import from City/County (TAMC Menu item #4) that caused a divide by zero error.
  • Strategy & Optimization: Correct discrepancy in Average RSL charts between Strategy Evaluation form & Compare Strategies form.
  • SAFETY ANALYSIS:
    • Fixed a bug in the Segment Ranking report. The report would output a subset of the correct output if the user specified a non-zero length

The 6.9.4 update includes:

  •  SAFETY ANALYSIS:
    • Fixed bug in collision diagrams that caused them to hang when checking other vehicle direction.
    • Added record count to diagram summary form.
    • Fixed radius combo on/off when switching between tabs on criteria form.
    • Provide a default radius for the Summary Statistics & Summary Statistics-PR reports.
  • REPORTS:
    • Fixed bug in Sign Report when exporting data to CSV.
    • Fixed bug in Current Surface Rating and Last Rating Entered reports with custom headings.
  • CURVE LIBRARY:
    • Fix (new deterioration curve method) to find ALL rating/construction history records.
    • Enhancements/Improvements (new deterioration curve method) to Base Curve & RSL generation.
  • NETWORK BUILDER:
    • Fix bug if a saved filter is  selected along with other criteria.
    • Added label to show Network name when saved or opened
    • Fixed bug when memo fields included
    • Made some network info available for use in saved parameter set for reports

The 6.9.3 update includes:

  • Added Road Pavement Design data to Import/Export.
  • Fixed bug in migrating Manually Selected Networks/Filters.
  • DB Manager: Added support for SQL 2008.
  • CRASH MODULE
    • Enhancements/Improvements to UD10 Download process.

The 6.9.2 update includes:

  • Changed the Shapefile Export TAMC year to 2009.
  • SAFETY ANALYSIS:
    • Added option to show PR numbers in Intersection Ranking.
    • Added additional sort options to Intersection Ranking report.

The 6.9.1 update includes:

  • Fixed bug in Road Rating History Report that caused an error when a filter was used.
  • Added export to CSV option to Crash Ranking grid (intersection, segment and curve) and Crash Summary grid.
  • Fixed bug in Sidewalk Module form which would never show the form if Keep On Top was unchecked.
  • Performance enhancements for Intersection Ranking Report

The 6.9 update includes:

  • SIDEWALK MODULE
    • Fixed Bug that caused the Units to default to inches if feet or nothing was selected in multi-edit.

Users of RoadSoft 6.9 or newer can download the update below.  This update is also available via Check for Updates in RoadSoft.

RoadSoft SQL Express Database Server


Description

The Microsoft SQL Express Server engine is required to run RoadSoft in Stand-Alone mode. This install is not required if you plan to connect the RoadSoft Client to an existing server.

Please Note: This install requires that Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 and Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework be installed

The latest version of the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework can be found at microsoft.com.  Do not download and install this file unless the RoadSoft SQL Express Database Server installer tells you that you need it.

LDC 6.9.5 Update


Description

LDC 6.9.5 Update is now available.

This update is for users with LDC version 6.9  or newer. This is a cumulative release for the Laptop Data Collector (LDC) and will bring the LDC up to version 6.9.5.  This version is only compatible with RoadSoft version 6.9.0 or later.  Information about the RoadSoft update is available here

 

6.9.5 update includes:

  • Fixed bug in Sign Grid which would not update the data if there is only one sign on the support.

6.9.4 update includes:

  • Added support for jpg 2000 layers.
  • Improved hard coded color choices for external layers.
  • Added Settings menu to make Jurisdiction Layers clear.
  • Removed map.RestrictedExtent to see all of an external layer.

6.9.1 update includes:

  • Fixed the ability to resnap a culvert, sign, or driveway to another close segment prior to clicking OK to verify the add or adjust of the item.

This update includes fixes, updates, and enhancements including:

2006 Michigan Crash Data


2006 Michigan Crash data is available for RoadSoft. This data is only available on a CD.  If you are a current RoadSoft user you can request a CD. Please send an email to roadsoft@mtu.edu or call (906) 487-2102 to make the request.

If you are new to RoadSoft and are public agency in Michigan:

Send a letter or fax, on agency letterhead, signed by a person in authority, to the Center for Technology and Training  (906) 487-3409

·         Fax should include:
·         Name of person requesting RoadSoft
·         Address
·         Phone Number
·         Statement requesting RoadSoft and the jurisdiction needed, such as: County, City, Village, etc.
·         e-mail address (necessary for notification of version updates)
