This update is compatible with LDC version 6.8.2 or later. The LDC patch is available here Please Note, if you are running version 6.7 or earlier, this update is only available on CD. Users running RoadSoft versions 6.7 or earlier will need to request a CD containing Basemap Framework data for migration. The CD also includes updated Bridge, Crash, and Basemap data. To request a RoadSoft CD including this update, send an e-mail to roadsoft@mtu.edu. If your agency has never used RoadSoft, you must fax a request on your agency letterhead to 906-487-3409.

LDC 6.8.2 Update is now available.
This update is for users with LDC version 6.0 or newer. This is a cumulative release for the Laptop Data Collector (LDC) and will bring the LDC up to version 6.8. This version is only compatible with RoadSoft version 6.8.0 or later. Information about the RoadSoft update is available here
LDC 6.8 Update: It is very important that any data that you wish to keep is imported into RoadSoft before these patches are applied. Applying this patch will delete any existing data prior to 6.8 that is on your LDC.
This update is compatible with RoadSoft 6.8.0 or later. If you have a version prior to RoadSoft 6.8.0, any existing data in LDC must be imported into RoadSoft before you apply this update. RoadSoft 6.8.0 or later is not compatible with any previous version of the LDC.

The Microsoft SQL Express Server engine is required to run RoadSoft in Stand-Alone mode. This install is not required if you plan to connect the RoadSoft Client to an existing server.

2006 Michigan Crash data is available for RoadSoft. This data is only available on a CD. If you are a current RoadSoft user you can request a CD. Please send an email to roadsoft@mtu.edu or call (906) 487-2102 to make the request.
If you are new to RoadSoft and are public agency in Michigan:
Send a letter or fax, on agency letterhead, signed by a person in authority, to the Technology Development Group (906) 487-3409

· Phone Number
· Statement requesting RoadSoft and the jurisdiction needed, such as: County, City, Village, etc.
· e-mail address (necessary for notification of version updates)

RoadSoft-GIS version 6.5 is now available.
This update includes an update to the Framework basemap, going from version 5a to version 6a. For existing users of RoadSoft-GIS 6.x that have collected their own data (road inventory, surface condition, traffic counts, guardrail, sign, and/or culvert), RoadSoft-GIS 6.5 will automatically migrate your data to the new version of the Framework basemap.
PLEASE NOTE: This update is *NOT* available via the Update Wizard. You must request a CD containing the RoadSoft update with your jurisdiction's Framework basemap.
If your jurisdiction already uses RoadSoft or send a request to roadsoft@mtu.edu to request your CD.
If your jurisdiction has never used RoadSoft, you can request a CD by faxing a request on your jurisdiction's letterhead to 906-487-3409.
If you have already requested the latest version, your CD should be on it's way to you today.
