The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA), has released the online version of its latest pocket guide to transportation.  The pocket guide is designed as a quick reference to the changes in the U.S. transportation system since 1970 and how they have affected the nation's economy, safety, energy use, and the environment. The print version was released in January 2007.
