Collecting PASER Data for the Asset Management Council - A Web Based Training for People New to the Data Collection Process

DESCRIPTION:
The Michigan Local Technical Assistant Program is conducting a 90-minute web-based training session that will introduce participants to the basics of using RoadSoft and the Laptop Data Collector for collecting and submitting PASER ratings to Michigan's Transportation Asset Management Council (TAMC). During this session, participants will become familiar with setting up RoadSoft and the Laptop Data Collector for the Asset Management Council's data collection. This session will cover the Data Cycle that is necessary to maintain data integrity and will discuss quality control checks that data collectors can utilize to minimize errors and missed road segments. Participants are encouraged to submit other questions or topics they would like covered during this training to ltap@mtu.edu; please submit your ideas or question by May 1st.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This training is designed for those individuals who are new to the Asset Management Council's data collection process. If you will be involved in the PASER data collection effort this year and have questions regarding the process, you should register for this session.

There is no charge for this training session.

TO PARTICIPATE:
This training is a web-based training, so you can participate from the comfort of your office. All you will need is a computer with a high speed internet connection for the video portion of the presentation and a phone for the audio portion of the presentation. Detailed instructions will be provided to all those who register.
